Location Located at kilometre 52.7 of the railway line between Palma de Mallorca and Santany, the house was built in 1917 and served in the summer months as a stop for the "Banys de San Juan de Fontsanta", today very well known as one of the only thermal baths in the region and an important part of the municipality of Campos.
It was not near an urban centre, so the stationmaster had a car to take passengers from the station to the thermal baths. During the rest of the year it served as a stopping point and the passenger building was used as a train driver's residence. After the railway line was closed in 1964, a terrace was added and the building became a private home, which was maintained and renewed from year to year.

The nearby village of Ses Salines is very close to the 'Cap de Ses Salines', the southernmost tip of the island, and has many excellent restaurants to choose from, as well as many cultural events. This area has a long agricultural tradition that continues to this day and is predominantly residential, retaining much of its original charm. Along with the neighbouring town of Colonia de Sant Jordi, Ses Salines was once prized by the invading Romans for its salt production. The town's name derives from this activity and literally means 'source of salt'.
Nearby historic villages to Ses Salines, are Campos, Santanyi and Sa Rapita. The award-winning beach 'Es Trenc', as well as Cala Llombards and many other beaches and coves, are close by.
